The accommodation is great! It's clean and hygienic. The FREE breakfast is basic but good, with yogurt and lots of fruit, along with packaged jam, butter, and peanut butter. Coffee and tea . That’s it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The most important thing is that parking is free, and you can even leave your car parked after check-out. The hotel is situated on a hill, so be ready for some uphill climbs, drive in low gear. Keep in mind that parking is paid everywhere. The best thing about this hotel is that it's within walking distance of all the attractions. The city is like an open-air storybook, with beautiful historic buildings from the 18th to the 19th century in Victorian style. The Cataract Gorge is also nearby, a 37-minute walk away. Just be prepared for a steep incline, so consider driving or taking a bus. But remember, if you drive, you'll have to pay for parking. Overall, it's worth visiting the 2 Victoria museums, dining spots like Nepalese and Sri Lankan were my favorites.

Great hotel close to the city centre of Launceston with complimentary onsite parking. We were warmly welcomed by Tim (the owner) who was more than happy to provide some info on what to see and do during our visit. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Especially loved the super comfortable bed and the quality towels. We had a continental breakfast included and were quite impressed with what was available (fresh fruit, juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit loaf, toast, coffee, tea) - it was a nice way to start the day. The hotel is undergoing some renovation at the moment (which we noted), but it actually didn’t affect our stay at all (minimal noise and we were out exploring most of the day). Location is excellent. Easy walking distance to the centre and (for those that like to walk a little further) only a couple of kms to the start of the Cataract Gorge. Overall a great experience and we’d definitely recommend if you’re staying in Launceston.

Tim met us when we checked in. He was friendly and helpful about directions of where to visit. (He was also a dynamo during breakfast the next day - exhausting to watch as he cleaned up, took orders and kept on top of the buffet supplies, which, incidentally were ample). The room had been recently renovated and it overlooked the city. Comfortable bed and enough room for us to spread out for 5 days. A washer and dryer on the premises was a bonus. 10 - 15 minute walk to restaurants and shops. Downhill on the way - uphill on return- giving us some much needed exercise! Our favourite meal was at Monsoon - thoroughly recommend it.

Fantastic position, short walk to everything. The room had everything you could need and was very spacious and clean. The free car parking was excellent. Continental breakfast was included or you could pay $15 for a full cooked breakfast. The staff continually filled up anything running low at breakfast and there was a great selection of chopped fresh fruit. The laundry was great and very quick and only cost us $6 to wash and dry a large load of washing. All the staff were super friendly and efficient and provided some great recommendations on things to do and dining options.

On arrival the friendly reception Danny was a delight, Tim the owner was all hands on deck , whether in the kitchen , doing laundry , on reception or renovating . He’s a busy man , very helpful , leads by example to his staff , all of whom were great. Full credit to Tim . The breakfast was excellent, a wonderful choice of fresh fruit, ample choices in cereals and toast varieties and the boiled eggs were a treat . Breakfast was my highlight of the day . The room was modern , very clean, great views and a wonderful comfortable bed .
